Paso Bumbong 2012: List of Sellers

JOHO once again proud to bring Paso Bumbong 2012 to all JOHO lovers. Paso Bumbong is a slang used by Johorean. It means Pasar Bumbung or Rooftop Market. The event will take place at Plaza Seni rooftop parking this coming Saturday (11 August 2012) from 3pm to midnight. 

The theme for Paso Bumbong 2012 is the 70's fashion, inspired by Sudin and Zaiton in Bujang Lapok film directed by P. Ramlee.

Paso Bumbong 2012

It's an annual event by JOHO Club and 2012 is the third year that Paso Bumbong has been held, always at the same place (Plaza Seni rooftop parking lot) and took place in the last week before Syawal.

Paso Bumbong 2012 is sponsored by IRDA and PAIM and supported by Plaza Seni. 

The objectives for Paso Bumbong are to present an opportunity to give a platform for young entrepreneurs to market their products and services for one day at a strategic location as well as to get people connected with one another despite of their races or other issues in one friendly environment.

The concept of this event is to promote unity and strengthens the arts, heritage and culture through the sharing of information among the newer generation of Johor in particular and Malaysia in general.

As for the theme, lets go back to the 70's :)

Besides the sale of vintage items, DIY stuffs and own brand of clothing lines that will last from 3pm to midnight, we have also plan other activities for the visitors such as:
• Open mic session for those who want to showcase their talent either in poetry or singing. They will have to sing at least one “Hari Raya” song to set the mood.
• Gathering for JOHO lovers as well
• Break fast gathering
• Fesyen Gerek competition
• Booth competition

There will be 30 entrepreneurs who will take part in Paso Bumbong 2012. They are handpicked by us to ensure the quality of the products/brands that they are selling.

Fesyen Gerek: Paso Bumbong 2011

JOHO brought Paso Bumbong for the second time this year on 27th August 2011 that took place at roof car park of Plaza Seni, Johor Bahru from 3pm till midnight. Paso Bumbong is an event to celebrate the month of Ramadhan as well as to welcome the month of Syawal for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Many JOHO lovers came on the day of the event and we would like to thank everyone who your support. As usual, our photographers were busy hunting down the most fashionable people that came. Without further ado, here they are:

Paso Bumbong 2011: Aturcara

Tarikh: 27 Ogos 2011 (Sabtu)
Masa: 3 petang hingga lewat malam
Tempat: Bumbung tempat letak kereta, Plaza Seni, Johor Bahru.

Paso Bumbong 2011 akan diadakan di bumbung tempat letak kereta Plaza Seni, Johor Bahru pada hari Sabtu ini bersamaan 27 Ogos 2011 bermula dari 3 petang hingga lewat malam. Berikut adalah aturcara majlis untuk hari tersebut:

3pm - Acara bermula dengan pembukaan booth dari semua participants.

4pm - Registration untuk seso OPEN MIC.

7pm - Berbuka puasa.

9pm - Sesi Open Mic akan dimulakan antara yang telah confirm ialah

*The Mual - gabungan penggiat muzik indie termasuk vokalis band kebanggaan kami P.O.H sendiri.
*Romal - if korang betul2 orang JB Romal ni dah tak payah nak di introduce lagi..bab2 akustik derang ni legend.

12am - Paso Bumbong selesai.

Gerak Gempur Kukubesi

Gerak Gempur Kukubesi merupakan satu pertandingan seni reka grafik yang dianjurkan oleh KUKUBESI sempena Paso Bumbong 2011. Pertandingan ini berlangsung dari 21 Ogos 2011 hingga tengahari 27 Ogos 2011 dan terbuka untuk semua.

Peraturan untuk pertandingan Gerak Gempur Kukubesi ini adalah seperti berikut:

- sila ikut guideline seperti gambar diatas
- size kanvas 800 x 800 pixel
- size karya 770 x 516 pixel
- background hitam
- masukkan gambar anda seperti kedudukan di atas
- font Arial Narrow size 3
- nama , facebook anda , no telefon dan alamat email
- " sertai kami di facebook : gerak gempur kukubesi " di bahagian bawah
- sila sunting dalam keadaan yang menyenangkan tanpa menyingung mana2 pihak.

Info pertandingan:

• Terbuka kepada sesiapa sahaja untuk menyertainya
• Jenis suntingan dan tema untuk kali ini adalah GRAPHIC DESIGN atau SENIREKA GRAFIK, contohnya macam iklan raya, iklan poster, korang kena buat poster atau flyers untuk event PASO BUMBONG anjuran JOHO

Paso Bumbong 2011

If you are an avid JOHO lovers, you must have heard of Paso Bumbong by now that is going to take place soon. People have been asking what is Paso Bumbong. Well, Paso Bumbong is a Johor slang for Pasar Bumbung which means "rooftop market" and it is literally that.

There are more than 40 young entrepreneurs who will be participating in Paso Bumbong. Show your support for these young businessmen from Johor. They are selling creative DIY stuff, vintage clothing as well as their own brands. We will update about the booths later on.

The Aftermath: Paso Bumbong

Paso Bumbong which was held a week before the Aidilfitri on 4th September 2010 was a huge success thanks to the support from sponsors, JOHO lovers and family. The event was held on Plaza Seni rooftop and got more than a thousand visitors. Paso Bumbong started around 4pm and ended at midnight.

Throughout the event, there were lots of activities to ensure that another JOHO event is just not fun and entertainment. We invited Super Sundays, KukuBesi and SouthernFixed to inject more umpphh to Paso Bumbong. While you were busy shopping, you guys were also entertained by the open-mic artists and poets. Kudos to all who participated.

JOHO would like to thank:

• C&M for providing us with the top notch audio system for the open-mic session.
  
• Plaza Seni for allowing us to use the rooftop parking to hold this event in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri
• Super Sundays for the Paso Bumbong graffiti demo
• KukuBesi and his empire who came all the way from Kuala Lumpur to support us
• SouthernFixed who participated for the second time at JOHO event
